Anna + Brett | Minnesota Wedding

First date, Anna and Brett are watching “Bridesmaids” in Anna’s apartment. Fast forward a few years and their very own bridesmaids and groomsmen are there to celebrate what I am sure was the best party all summer.

The wedding was held in McGregor at the Minnesota National Golf Course. Perfect green rolling hills and just a hop skip and jump away from the very lake where Brett proposed, with a whole surprise party planned when they returned.

These two are incredibly sweet. They laughed and joked and spent the day exactly how a bride and groom should spend it: having a gosh darn blast. From the golf cart rides to the old barn, Tippy Cup, the sparklers and the dance floor that always had a body on it; Anna and Bret know how to throw a party. Even more, they had friends and family and loved ones from all spans of their lives and it was obvious how much these people all adore them.

Congratulations to Anna and Bret. May your days be as warm and sunny as the day you were wed.

There is truly nothing more inspiring than a girl going in to her senior year of high school. So many opportunities, so much excitement, so many possibilities. The most inspiring to me though, is a girl who shows up to her graduation session quiet, shy and 30 minutes in to it is laughing, smiling, standing tall and even striking a pose. Truly, it makes me giddy with happiness.

Mandy, thank you for opening up and having fun. You're a sweet, sweet girl and the world is lucky to have you.

This family and I have known each other for years. I've had the honor of photographing their newest family member, and again as they've grown into themselves as a four member unit. Daisy and Cory lead these two spirited munchkins with so much kindness, grace and love and it's heart-warming to witness. Esme even got to wear the same blue dress her mama wore when she was a babe.

Kayla and Max met in their Freshman year of college. They went from watching movies in Max's dorm room to planting a garden in their very own yard.

These two are ridiculously adorable and their love shows itself in some of the sweetest ways I've seen. There was no shortage of tears shed in happiness for this sweet couple and the love they share.

Ligia and Josh told me their love story origins over a brew at Bent Paddle Brewery. They met in grad school in North Carolina and both claimed they would have never thought that at the end of it all they'd be head-over-heels and swearing forever by the shores of Lake Superior in front of their most cherished family and friends.

Their laid back attitudes and giddy grins across the table to each other told more than any flash back details of their love story. To put it bluntly, they are adorable and their love is spectacular. They are so deserving of the lifelong love that is laid out before them.

Morgan + Buck | North Shore Lutsen Minnesota Wedding Photographer

Morgan + Buck. Where do we even begin? These two met at a house-warming party. That doesn't sound all that interesting until you learn the back story: Buck ignored Morgan (which is obviously bogus because she's a tall gorgeous blonde) in an attempt to "play it cool." After being ignored nearly all night by him, Morgan marched right up and kissed him on the mouth as she headed out the door. I love that their love story starts in such a sweet and memorable way.

Morgan first contacted me while my family was in Ireland for a semester last winter. Coincidentally, it's a place the couple have always wanted to visit. I'm going to assume that isn't the only reason why Morgan asked if I could adopt her, but by the end of their wedding day I certainly left feeling like I had made some friends.
